Each day there’s a conflict,
that we need to fight . . .
a battle that’s between
the dark and the light.

But, before we go out,
onto the battle field
we must make sure
we are wearing our shield.

For, the shield of faith,
our hearts will protect
as satan’s fiery arrows
He begins at us to eject.

We will need to stand firm,
lest one may hit it’s mark
and turn our light for Jesus
into barely but a spark.

Each day there’s a conflict,
a clash between right and wrong
a battle that can only be won
when in Christ we stand strong!
