I waited on the Lord,
and I was renewed
as His strength
I eagerly pursued.

I was able to rise,
above all my care
just like an eagle
soaring in the air.

I waited on the Lord,
and I stayed in the race
I grew not weary . . .
for He gave me the grace.

I was able to run,
without tiring
just like an eagle
on wings flying.

I waited on the Lord,
without even fainting
as I walked it felt like . . .
on wings I was floating!
