Not Giving Up ~

I am not letting,
old age take a hold
for Jesus I’ll continue
to be brave and bold.

Though my hair is thin,
and my bones now creak
but, that doesn’t mean
my faith is now weak.

I am not giving up,
nor will I give in . . .
I’ll not let the aches
over my body win.

My hearing is dull,
my sight is now dim
but, my focus on Jesus
will always be zeroed in.

I am not losing heart,
though by looking at me
wrinkles, bags and sags . . .
are all you might see!


2 Corinthians 4:16

For which cause we faint not;
but though our outward man
perish, yet the inward man is
renewed day by day.

Now also when I am old
and grey headed, O God,
forsake me not; until I have
shewed thy strength unto
this generation…
