Suddenly, I’ve become aware of the depth and range of you. Forgive me for my lack of awareness, for not noticing your eyes, the color of late autumn leaves. Lately the scent of sandalwood consumes my thoughts and I can think of nothing but the span of your limbs, sunlit wings of eagles I seek shelter beneath. Suddenly, you are in my dreams. I call to you from below an opalescent moon where I leave my imperceptive light for you to follow as I vanish into midnight’s amnesia.
