We are afflicted,
troubled and stressed
but, with God’s power
we are still blessed.

We may have to suffer,
for how we believe
but, each day more mercy
from God we receive.

We are persecuted,
stifled and oppressed
but, our faith in God
won’t let us be depressed.

We may have to endure,
hardship and pain
but, we count it all . . .
not for loss but for gain.

We are forlorn,
desperate and helpless
but, never are we . . .
in Jesus hopeless!
