A Fire In My Bones ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

I feel my bones,
they are hot with fire
sparking me to raise
my voice even higher.

For the flame inside,
I can no longer contain
for I see a world filled
for God, with a disdain.

This fire is being fueled,
by rampant immorality
kindled by the flames
of gender based depravity.

For the torch was lit,
by progressive behavior
inflamed by their denial
of the need for a Savior.

I feel in my bones,
a fire burning hot
it’s like we’re living . . .
today in the land of Lot!

~~~~~~~~
Jeremiah 20:9
Then I said, I will not make mention of him,
nor speak any more in his name.
But his word was in mine heart as a
burning fire shut up in my bones,
and I was weary with forbearing,
and I could not stay.
