Dead in trespasses,
buried by our sinfulness
utterly destitute . . .
by our own willfulness.

But, then grace came along,
bringing to us a new life
setting us finally free
from all our earthly strife.

God’s mercy and favor,
He has granted to all
forgiveness now ours
when on His name we call.

Jesus’ love became,
salvation’s only solution
detoxifying our souls . . .
from sin’s fatal pollution.

Dead in trespasses,
now alive and viable
are the hearts to God
willing to be pliable!
