I Hear You Jesus ~

I hear You Jesus,
Your voice I recognize
I’m aware of the wolves
wearing a sheep’s disguise.

I hear You Jesus,
I listen for Your inflection
I know the tone they use
lacks truth and direction.

I hear You Jesus,
I’m aware of Your teachings
I know the false promises
the others are preaching.

I hear You Jesus,
I am able to distinguish
the strange voices who want
my faith in You, to extinguish.

I hear You Jesus,
it’s only You who I’ll follow
for the voice of the others . . .
are deceptive and hollow!
