In perfect peace,
God, you keep me
whenever my mind
is stayed on Thee.

For when it roams,
to places dark
everything appears
so bleak and stark.

Restful peace,
God, in you I find
to put to ease
my worried mind.

For when it wanders,
from You far away
my trust too drifts
aimlessly astray.

In perfect peace,
my mind is kept
when God my heart . . .
by Your calm is swept!
