CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

Father, today in a sunrise,
I saw You set off its glow
I saw You when I watched
the breeze begin to blow.
I witnessed You today,
in someone’s smile
I saw You when I went
for them an extra mile.
Father, today in a sunset,
I saw You as it began to set
I saw You as the stars
spun their showy net.
I noticed You today,
in someone’s sad eyes
I saw You when I calmed
down their fearful cries.
Father, today I saw You,
from sun up to sun down
I saw You as You turned . . .
a smile from a frown!

The heavens declare
the glory of God;
and the firmament
sheweth his handywork.
Wherefore comfort
yourselves together,
and edify one another,
even as also ye do.
to run a race.
