Peacock Poetry

As I walked down to to the pool for my late afternoon dip I became aware of the patches of sunshine still present on the grass. I decided to leave my bag in one of the sunny patches so that I could get changed whilst still feeling the warmth on my skin. This took me to a place of appreciation and savouring and prompted me to write.

Noticing

Find the slithers of the sun that rest upon the grass

Soon Autumn will have long begun, the summers heat have passed

Take the chance to plunge on in, the water’s still inviting

When I appreciation bring, each little gift’s exciting

Grasp the pluses on your path and laugh for it quite suits you

Most of our worries are quite daft, don’t let your issues mute you

When you are truly here, at one, then you will have a blast!
