I’m on a personal journey,
got heaven on my mind . . .
and the road to get there
I’m determined to find.

The excursion I’ve been on,
is leading me to the gate
but narrow is its path
and straight must be my gait.

For the way from here to there,
has many lures and snares
and I must be on my toes
so to satan’s traps I’ll be aware.

It is a large open road,
it has room for everyone
but one must be willing
to stay on it for the long run.

I’m on a personal journey,
it has a perfect ending
for in the eternal Holy City . . .
with Jesus I’ll be spending!
