When clouds of hopelessness,
gather above your head . . .
when skies turn thunderous
as darkness they spread.

Look past the gloominess,
the misery and despair
and the hope you’ve found
to the heavens declare.

When shadows of dismay,
start to mess with your head
when shades of their distress
fill your thoughts with dread.

Look past the grimness,
the bleakness and gloom
and keep in mind that hope
in heaven you have a room.

When clouds of hopelessness,
cast shadows of desperation . . .
just keep your hope focused
on your eternal destination!
