My garments were but rags,
dirty, stained and torn
they were old and ugly
and sinfully worn.
But, Jesus in exchange,
for my filthy clothing
knew God looked on them
with disgust and loathing.
So He took His own blood,
and washed away my sin
and now I am . . . .
cleansed from within.
Then He took my filthy rags,
gave to me a bride’s dress
so that to His Father
I could have access.
And now my garments,
are snowy white . . .
so before God I may stand
holy in His sight!

saith the Lord: though your sins be as
scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson,
they shall be as wool.
But we are all as an unclean thing,
