The Thunderbolts of Fear ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

The thunderbolt of fear,
is frightening and horrifying
as it releases its dread
with shocks of panic terrifying.

It freezes and it seizes,
our feet right to the floor
as soon as we begin to hear
its rumbling, cracking roar.

It moves so ever quickly,
through our worried minds
as it begins to settles in
our weaknesses it finds.

Fears jolting booming,
is felt deep in the heart
until a resounding dread
in our soul beings to start.

But, fear can be conquered,
when at first you hear its clap
if you take your worries . . .
and lay them in God’s lap!

I will trust in thee.”
