trees drink sun from indigo skies

mountains loom like ice cream

a lone hummingbird seeks sweets

not even a ripple in the vast lake

flowers display striking colors

all sculpted by God for our sake

3  For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. 4  In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. 5  The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.  (Psalm 95: 3-5)

Our grandchildren have lightened my heart and my soul. They are blessing me and I am now remembering how pure the nature of little ones can be. Our world is a frightening place in many ways currently. At times, this can have a profound influence on me because of how I was neglected and abused…
