God took my broken life,
healed and made it whole
empty His love and mercy
right into this sinner’s soul.

He rescued me from this world,
the direction I was headed in
helped me to grasp to its ways
only lead to death and sin.

He gave me a heart of flesh,
removed the stony one
showed me the way to Him
was only through His Son.

He gave me ears to hear,
the eyes I needed to see
so I’d know how much . .
He was in love with me.

God took this sinner’s soul,
once doomed and hopeless
saving me from going . . .
into the pit ~ bottomless!
