I’ve fought off temptation,
at every level
I’ve defeated evilness
by resisting the devil.

I’ve fled the world ways,
no longer am I conformed
I’ve severed my ties
so I can be transformed.

I’ve left the path wide,
for the one that is straight
I’ve taken the high road
leading to the narrow gate.

I’ve turned from my past ways,
I’ve confessed and repented
now no longer for my past
am I or haunted or tormented.

I’ve fought the good fight,
my faith is intact . . .
I will finish the race
and never look back!
