That Still Small Voice ~

The winds started to roar,
they gusted all about
causing in me . . .
a trembling of doubt.

Then the earth quaked,
it shook and it broke
causing in me . . .
to nearly have a stroke.

Then a fire started up,
flames were all around
causing in me . . .
to have a near breakdown.

But, then came a calm,
and I started to hear
a still small voice . . .
whispering in my ear.

For, God didn’t speak to me,
in the sounds terrifying
but in the rustlings . . .
that were faith fortifying!
