It was so relaxing to look out at the view from our Bed and Breakfast in Locarno. Seeing the lush and floral hills was a really great way to unwind and I was inspired to write in no time! Up there it felt like I was able to see things from a new and refreshing perspective.

Above the lake, life’s sprouting

This is a soothing, needed break

Ticino style time-outing

I see the boats that slowly float

and notice my adjusting

Observing is the antidote

to too much forward thrusting

The view instils a newfound will

to spend more hours in watching

The new cannot appear until

we’re open to its touching

The old routine we must escape

to find the shifts we’re seeking
