Lord, let me be a contender,
a competitor in the race
so I may be a testament
of Your life-saving grace.

Help me to finish well,
so the prize I can earn
by guiding me around
each bend, every turn.

Let me be a front-runner,
to living a life sinless
so I may be for You
everyday a witness.

If You should ever see me,
fall off the narrow track
I pray You will quickly
guide me to You back.

one who runs with dignity

of love and charity!
