Angel of the Lord,
watch after me . . .
protect me until
in heaven I can be.

Be my bodyguard,
wherever I go
keep an eye on me
whatever I do.

Angel of the Lord,
look after me
help me not to fear
the evil I see.

Keep a lookout,
on my daily goings
observe me in
my home comings.
