Take me or leave me

Peacock Poetry

Those of you who read my blog on a regular basis will know that personal freedom is a huge value for me. I don’t care much about what people think about my clothing or lifestyle choices and yet I do care deeply about how I make people feel. Today’s poem is all about doing what we love and being who we truly are.

Freedom

She wrote because she loved to

She sang because she could

Some tried, but couldn’t subdue

Do as her will, she would

She laughed for life gets crazy

She dressed the way she liked

With housework she was lazy

Used hairbrushes as mics

She gave more than she had to

It brought her joy to give

Share compliments, was glad to

For love is all there is

That which our hearts devote to

Is what makes this life good

She wrote because she loved to
