CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

I know your sorrows,
I know your grief
I know you’re hated
for your belief.
For I too was pained,
I did too grieve
for those who refused
in Me to believe.
I know your trials,
I know you’re weary
I know how this life
can leave you teary.
For I too wept,
my heart too did cry
for I knew for the world
I would have to die.
I know your weakness,
I know you’re depleted
but, I have overcome . . .
so be not defeated!
~~~~~~~~
Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted.
These things I have spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.
