Tiger Tales

Peacock Poetry

It has been an eventful week to say the least starting with our baby tiger’s disappearing act, then getting the first inoculation and having a fall whilst jogging yesterday! Ziggy’s coming home though, puts everything into perspective and we are still celebrating this end!

Reappearing Act

The birds coo tunes of light relief

Thank goodness you returned

From hope to anger and to grief

Our lives were overturned

The odds were stacked, no trace nor tracks

as local streets we scoured

So grateful when you ventured back

Took thirty eight long hours

We beg you Zigs, frequent your digs

for mealtimes though it’s sunny

Despite your pressing outside gigs

It’s just not big or funny

For we love you beyond belief

When will you ever learn?

The birds coo tunes of light relief

Thank goodness you returned
