May there be Light ☀️

Peacock Poetry

Well we certainly all need some sunshine over here to literally put the Spring back in our step and fortunately it seems to be arriving this weekend! As I headed back from a cool, grey jog one morning this week I pondered on just how much good it would do us all to reconnect to the joys of this usually intoxicating season!

Please, May

Deprive us not of late Spring days

when warmth and freshness mix

Replace with blue this stubborn grey

We badly need our fix

Please don’t withhold, let Light unfold

Give us some blooming glimmers

Dear May, you’ve left us in the cold

Be kind and close with shimmers

It’s not too late, can still rephrase

It’s saved if you are quick

Deprive us not of late Spring days

when warmth and freshness mix
