A Bobbin Robin ~

Today I saw a robin,
his head was just a bobbin
I could hear him singing . . .
soon spring I’ll be bringing.

As I stood at my window,
my arms hugging a pillow
I thought about the warmth
not coming from my hearth.

I got all giddy and excited,
to be with the sun united
for I’m over winter’s weather
and this thick bulky sweater.

As my yard I looked around,
a daffodil broke the ground
as if to let me know . . .
I’ll put an end to the snow.

It got me to thinking,
of the ice tea I’ll be drinking
under Spring’s umbrella
of my rhododies and azaleas.

Today I saw a robin,
he got my head a bobbin . . .
together we started singing
Spring soon God will be bringing!
