Springing Up

Peacock Poetry

I get so excited (no big surprises there) to see and feel the first signs of Spring! They make me feel bouncy and excited and connected to the potentiality of life.

As Android and I ventured out for our lunchtime stroll one Friday, some little Spring flowers had started to bloom in the garden, turning me poetic and him photographic.

Bring on the Spring I say!

The sound of Spring is in the air

Bright hints of promise everywhere

Although its coming we must wait

Can’t help but feel the pre-Spring state

It makes me smile to see the hints

of pastel violet crocus tints

to feel the flirting of the sun

these mind-trick signs sing “It’s begun”

For as the seasons, we’re compelled

to reemerge in buds and bells

in short sleeved shirts and painted lips

with perfumed necks and slinky hips

Our lightness rescues from despair
