Alpine Therapy

Peacock Poetry

After two days of epic IMac failure in our household, we decided to venture to the mountains near to Berne to indulge in a little alpine therapy. It was so worth trudging up hill when we came across a beautiful unspoilt field of snow. It’s amazing what a bit of solitude in the Swiss peaks can do for the soul!

Sneaky Peaks

We clambered up the mountainside

where snow had freshly laid

Through white capped peaks the sun we spied

Though long it did not stay

I sported my blue polar bear

(My coat for winter hiking!)

Whilst way up there, my thoughts got air

Fresh alpine mood re-cycling

We lost our way, but as we strayed

off-course, we made new findings

Far better many walks are made

when on stray paths more winding

I’m more upbeat, I can’t deny

By winter’s charm, I’m swayed

We clambered up the mountainside
