Feelers Out

Peacock Poetry

My high-sensitivity is a blessing and a curse. It helps me to read situations quickly and to experience emotions and bodily sensations on steroids and it can also lead me to feeling and over-sensitised by my environment. Being ultra receptive to life brings me a sense of aliveness that I wouldn’t swap for the world and today’s poem is all about being a full on feeler!

Inference

I feel it all

Each little stroke

The hidden depths

The words that choke

I sense it all

Every tiny hair

Don’t have me fooled

I’m too aware

I take you in

The shades of grey

I’ve always bloody

been this way

I cannot help

but feel beneath

I see your pain

I hear your grief

I notice you

We interact

Your energy

says more than facts

I see the mirrors

and the smoke

I feel it all

Each little stroke
