Peacock Poetry

This morning I’d like to share a little kitty dirty for a change as I haven’t written one for a while! Yesterday whilst recovering from my run sat on a sunny bench, one of our local cats, Felix, came to say hello. Felix is like the older, tougher version of our tabby cat Ziggy, and we like to make up that Ziggy is his protege!

Felix

Felix is a crafty chap

He trains our baby tiger

They’re both such quirky stripy cats

And Ziggy’s his admirer

With snail brown back, he has the knack

of seeming like a bruiser

But he’s a softie, that’s a fact

A Dornach backstreet muser

Though he feels fine, his voice can whine

A trick that is quite cunning

He loves his sunshine playground time

Though bikes can send him running

I’ve rarely had him on my lap

But we are friends, I feel it
