Prior to attending the second retreat last year, a number of us did not sleep well and felt a sense of anticipation. Totally understandable when you think about the comfort zone stretching that lay ahead. On the morning before the retreat started, I penned the following poem and shared with my fellow tribe mates, Joanna, Michelle and Janet.
Changing Tune
It’s normal to feel trepidation
As you approach your transformation
There will be change, there will be tears
As new parts of you now appear
It’s normal to have patchy sleep
To wake at night, this stuff is deep
It can seem daunting and quite frightening
To walk upon a path enlightening
But there’ll be love and there’ll be light
The moment’s now, the moment’s right
We’re not built to stay in stagnation
Open to your transformation
