I like to get up and about in the mornings as I have a lot of energy at this time of day. Yesterday, however, my furry friend Nera (aka Noodles) had other plans for me. She clearly wanted me to stay stationary for a little longer and, as the clever little kitty laid beside me, I had no choice but to write about her!

Feline Presence

This morning you curled up like a furry black tea cosy on the edge of my silky star blanket as if to say

Stop!

Relax!

Purr into your presence…

As you cunningly blocked the exit to my restful recline I resigned myself to your

feline intuition.

Ok – you win Noodles…

Looking down at the contented coil of a cat that had planted myself upon my restless feet

I smiled

We weren’t going nowhere

and there was indeed

nowhere to go
