Hear Me, Hold Me, Hide Me ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

Hear me Oh Lord,
open to me Your ear
take away from me
the sum of my fear.

Keep me in the night,
while shadows move
so that my trust
to You I may prove.

Hold me up Lord,
don’t let me slip
keep Your Words
fixed on my lips.

Let my prayers flow,
straight to Your throne
keep my ears to You
open and prone.

Hide me under Your wings,
protect and keep me . . .
so an apple in Your eyes
to You I always be!

Psalm 17:1

Hear the right, O Lord,
attend unto my cry,
give ear unto my prayer,
that goeth not out of feigned lips.

Psalm 17:5

Hold up my goings in thy paths,
that my footsteps slip not.

Psalm 17:8

Keep me as the
apple of the eye,
hide me under
the shadow of thy wings,
