Simply Bee

Peacock Poetry

Starting each morning with some time out in nature was one of the many highlights of the four inner leadership retreats that I attended. Each day Mother Nature brought new inspiration in the form of poetry of course! One morning whilst sitting and gazing out at the vineyards, I spotted a little bee, prompting me to write the following poem.

Bee Lines

A bumble bee flew next to me

Upon the forest heather

and sent the scent of Spring to me

No season lasts forever

The fresh green hints of rebirth’s tints

imbued my soul with lightness

Dark winter I have done my stint

Now I release the tightness

Each time I choose to sit I see

the shifts within my weather

A bumble bee flew next to me

Now I’m light as a feather
