Sock it to ‘em!

Peacock Poetry

One of our amazing inner leadership leaders, Dani Poch, has a knack for creating unique metaphors to describe us. On one particular occasion he chose to liken me to a bright sock turned inside out, resulting in much hilarity within our tribe call. The metaphor seems to have stuck and I thought it only right to pen a tongue in cheek poem about it!

Odd Sock

I am a sock turned inside out

My stripeyness inverted

I’m full of courage and of doubt

My innards have been spurted

The matching pairs are way too square

for me, for plain is boring

I go where others do not dare

Vanilla sends me snoring

My outfits clash, reactions rash

imperfectly authentic

I guess I am a right Mish Mash

Intentions ecumenic

For human is what I’m about

There’s joy in paths diverted

I am a sock turned inside out

My stripeyness inverted
