FREE VERSE REVOLUTION

pain

thunderstorms

swing the windows of the Hôpital de la Charité

the trees drop on the roof their liquid green

fomented venom from some salivary glands

awakened phantoms of short lives

long necks are not in fashion anymore

nor are the elongated nudes

depravity

the hand that takes

bites from the one that gives

a drop of vitriol stains my white dress

I hurt

I look into the eyes of a reclining nude

on my décolleté

affixed

a healing asphodel
