I am a passionate person. I find it hard to do things in half measures and I probably always will. This is not something that I long to change about myself despite the intensity sometimes. One Sunday I had been cooped up indoors for too long and my passion literally physically forced me out of the door to take a walk and I wrote this whilst the elements blew the cobwebs away!
Passion Pause
When it pumps through you
It’s difficult to choose
half-measures
and cut-off points,
which is why this Sunday stroll
beneath the spitting sky
past shivering fir trees
is the perfect antidote.
Wet wind whistles through haphazard hair
whilst arthritic fingers form in warped trees
and I take refuge from my imagination beneath goose down
allowing nature to fill the gaps
