Try, try again

Peacock Poetry

How we recover from our misfortunes says a great deal about our character and resilience. Getting back on the metaphorical horse after a fall can feel frightening and yet it is the only way to grow positively from our experience. We will have to dust ourselves off and try again many times in our lives and if we can do this with an open heart we will continue to evolve.

Recovery

It’s not a new idea at all

It’s not the first discovery

But lately when I fail I’m called

To focus on recovery

For it’s no help to whinge and yelp

No time to sit and wallow

Far better to console yourself

Look up and hope will follow

It’s how we rise after the fall

We must treat ourselves motherly

For all of us at times will fall

What matters is Recovery!
