Andy and I have an in-house term for when one of us is being a bit wet, teasingly calling each other a “Geoffers” in such moments! (Don’t ask!) So I have to hold my hands up and say that I am currently being a real Geoffers about the heat! As a highly sensitive being, I am (as are many I know!) really affected by the infernal heat. Sitting here in my garden I am endeavouring to view the soaring temperatures as an opportunity for growth in some way despite the slight cabin fever feeling. This poem is part of my attempts to be a little bit less of a Geoffers!
What’s the gift of the heat
The virtue of the burning?
If you chose not to let it beat
you, what would you be learning?
What’s the message that you take?
How could you change perspective?
