Peacock Poetry

Today’s offering is a tongue-in-cheek ode to a word warrior of a highly academic nature! I had fun playing with rhythm and word sound here and thoroughly enjoying penning this caricature style poem.

The Lecturer

There was a generosity

In his verbose expression

Bad grammar – a monstrosity

Said he, the walking lesson

Despite the trite atrocity

Of those who came in question

He showed no animosity

Forgave their verb transgressions

As they brought curiosity

And raised linguistic questions

His passion not ferocity

Despite initial impressions

There was a generosity

In his verbose expression
