One of our favourite summertime leisure activities is taking our inflatable kayak out to the stunning Swiss lakes. Last year our friends Anthony and Alison purchased their own inflatable boat and so we enjoyed some really fun lake meet-ups all washed down with a boozy brunch or two!

Church bells peal across the breezy basin

The gold-glitter sun twinkling over the luscious lake

The Challenger launches, quick to find its stride

closely followed by the eager Sea Eagle

This is becoming something of a ritual;

The gliding, gazing, glimpsing of amazing calmness

My dramas drifting off to distant shores

And gratitude glistening from elated eyes

exaggerated by lively leaps from hairy heights

soles stoically smarting from wild water wounds

The boozy picnic pow-wow generously concluding our joyous jaunt
