Serendipitous Sunshine

Peacock Poetry

We have been a big spoilt this February with some gorgeously sunny days way above the average temperature for this time of year. As we very rarely get much wind to speak of, the sunshine effect is further amplified and what a boost to the spirit that is. Today’s poem is about the serendipitous splendour of early Spring sun!

Jubilant Jaunt

What a glorious day!

The sunshine is out on parade

It’s chasing the winter away

Relief that the seasons now trade

The grass it is grinning with glee

The hills in my heart are alive

I’m bouncing into the new me

Content that my heart is the drive

Fifty or more shades of grey

But I’m for the tropical shades

What a glorious day!

The sunshine is out on parade
