Adorn ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

Lord, let me adorn,
the spirit You gave me
with Your holy Word
till it’s You in me I see.

May you find in me,
a spirit incorruptible
let it not ever be . . .
to Your hand untouchable.

Lord, let my spirit be,
peaceful and tranquil
one that is to You
grateful and thankful.

Let me be in Your sight,
some one You cherish
let me have a spirit where
meekness can flourish.

Lord, may my spirit,
with love I adorn
so that Your very own . . .
finds no cause to mourn!

~~~~~~
1 Peter 3:4
“But let it be the hidden man of the heart,
in that which is not corruptible,
even the ornament of a meek and quiet
spirit, which is in the sight of God
of great price.”
