Memories of Love

These memories they never end,

Some of them will make me cry.

Loving memories of my dear friend,

That I cherish until the day I die.

Your kind smile touches my heart,

Locking the memory deep inside.

When sadness comes and we part,

In my heart you will always abide.

You wit and charm, my great joy;

Are memories I will always embrace.

My heart is as giddy as a schoolboy,

I close my eyes and I see your face.

Still my mind wanders back in time

To happier days when I held you tight.

The warmth of your touch so divine,

Is the memory to warm my cold night.

When memories are all you have left,

Build them on love for they’re the best.
