Mercy and Grace
I rise up every morning and say a prayer,
Because I know, my loving Lord is there.
I pray for strength to follow His command,
That we may walk together hand in hand.
As I sit down at the table, I begin to pray,
Thank you Lord for your blessings this day.
Your loving promises are a feast to my soul,
Love strengthens me and makes me whole.
You are my refuge from the noonday sun,
You are my source of all the victories won.
Yes, hardships and joy will come my way,
In thanksgiving and petition to you, I pray.
As my days wear long and come to close,
Your loving mercy my weary soul knows.
You saw me as I struggled to do my best,
Now, by your hand you lead me to my rest.
