From Cradle to Cross
How dear the cradle, How cruel the cross.
Our Savior came and pay sins dread cost.
Christ our King was born humble and low,
From heaven above God’s blessings did flow.
Beautiful and tender the Christ child born,
But on the cross His body beaten and torn.
The price for our sins would cause His death, yet called for us, mercy with His dying breath.
The cradle to cross was for you and me.
From cradle to the cross He’s love to see.
From cradle to cross to set man free.
The cradle and cross was for you and me.
From Heaven He came, our hope to ensure,
For our salvation the cross he did endure.
Each time I look on the cradle I see the cross,
And I remember it was He that paid the cost.
