I came across a field,
it look like all the rest
the weeds and thistles
grew without contest.

But, as I explored,
this grassland full of tares
I came upon a plot
sans any thorny snares.

The patch was pasture green,
where not a single weed grew
is was like a lush meadow
meant to restore and renew.

It was in this patch of land,
that I finally discovered
Jesus loves me even though . . .
with thorns I was covered.

I packed away my misgivings,
and bought into that field
for the treasure I had found . . .
brought joy, as its eternal yield!

Matthew 13:44

ÔÇťAgain, the kingdom of heaven
is like unto treasure hid in a field;
the which when a man hath found,
he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth
and selleth all that he hath,
and buyeth that field.
