I got me this thing,
but, at it I don’t look
instead my eyes are on
what’s in the Good Book.

This thing is pretty heavy,
but, it doesn’t weigh me down
because I am focusing
on my everlasting crown.

This one thing I know for sure,
what I have is temporal
and all that really matters
is what will be eternal.

This thing is quite annoying,
it’s always in my face
but, I can see right pass it
through the eyes of God’s grace.

I got me this thing,
but, over it I’ll not worry
for one day I want to see . . .
God, in all His wondrous glory!
